Natural lake ice was once a booming industry in the Poconos. Step back in time to learn how ice was "made" in the Pocono Mountains before refrigeration.

Fun and educational, the Sculpted Ice Works Factory Tour and Natural Ice Harvest Museum is a great attraction for groups of all ages, including school groups, bus tour groups, scout groups, and others. Please Contact Us for more information regarding availability and packages for groups.
Q: Is it cold in the museum and tour? A: No, the facility is room temperature in the museum.
Q: When are you carving ice in the freezer? A: Our production varies, so it is hard to tell. Generally, 12 noon-3 PM on Wednesday and Thursday are our busiest ice carving times. However, please feel free to call the week of your visit and we may be able to better guide you.
Q: What is the largest sculpture you've made? A: The largest display we create is Crystal Cabin Fever, a 100-ton ice display held here on the Sculpted Ice Works property. See crystalcabinfever.com for more info.
